When the next bite might be a trophy 40 lb Black Grouper, I don't take any chances. The hook at the end of my line is a VMC hook. I've used them for years. The Gulf of Mexico only allows inline circle hooks to be used with natural bait and the VMC Black Tournament Circle hook meets that requirement.
