is the wasteband elastic?

Hi Jan, According to Under Armour, The waistband on the Under Armour Fish Hunter Shorts is not technically considered elastic due to the material only being 7% elastane used for the shorts. The material is mostly made of polyester that gives you a stretchable elastic feel around the waist line. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
