This is my go to fly, sinks nicely and has a caught a wide variety of fish in my local water. Good quality from umqua since it has lasted through a number of fish.

Everybox should have one of these, basically the fly fishermans bucktail jig. Can be used for smallmouth to stripers.
Pros
- Depending on current/conditions this fly can be fished in the top three feet or much deeper. If you are looking to tie your own get tungsten eyes and note that the photo depocts the fly upside down. Chatreuse over white, and all black are the best for stripers.
