Every box should have one of these, can be used for smallmouth to stripers. The basis of many saltwater baitfish patterns.
Pros
- Depending on current/conditions this fly can be fished near the surface to about 4-5 feet depth. If you are looking to tie your own, varying the amount of material use and you can imitate a wide variety of baitfish. In the northeast, chartreuse over white, and all black are the best for stripers. Also if you tie your own for stripers consider using heavy gamakatsu circle hooks.
