Excellent combo, only used the one night/day but worked excellent. No problems and nice and quiet strung with 20lb braid.

I saw this on sale so I had to have it. Always wanted to try a Tsunami set up. Cast is long with great sensitivity, real is quite smooth and well balanced. I would recommend, it has the feel and quality of something costing more.

I know about the reels, how is the rod that comes in this combo? I will be kayak fishing offshore of Pensacola and looking for something that can take a bit more abuse, my current gear gets soaked in saltwater and occasionally get sandy while surf launching my kayak. My plan is to replace a pair of Penn Fierce 4000 combos and a pair of Daiwa Revros 2500/ ugly stik elite M/L with a pair of the shield 4k combos and a pair of 3k shield combos. Does this sound like the toughest best bang for my buck? Are there better choices in roughly the same price range? Thanks for any input.

The Tsunami Shield is sealed so it can handle splash and spreay no problem its a great combo for the type of fishing your doing.
