This is a nice affordable and quality rod, made very well and light, have yet to put it to the test, but from my observation this rod should fit the bill..

The quality and strength of these rods is amazing, I own all high end fishing equipment and bought this just because it seemed well made. Well a day later we landed a 75 bluefin on this rod $100. Rod . And was amazed ! It's only rated 30/50 lb.
