Great for smaller anglers
July 21, 2022
Great rods for small folks, at 5’8 you don’t have to worry about them swinging rods all over the place.
That being said these are a blast on seabass scup and fluke.
My son landed a 44 inch striped bass on one so there’s plenty of backbone

631M 6ft nurse shark.
July 4, 2022
I was using this rod for red snapper, paired with a slammer 6500, and it put in some serious work. It also winched a 6ft nurse shark from about 80ft off a wreck.
Pros
  • Great quality, plenty of back bone, Price, sensitivity.
Cons
  • Feels more like an MH, rather than an M.
  • Maybe a little heavy.

Best Rod Out There for the Money
December 8, 2021
I have three of these Sapphire XT Pro 6'3" rods (two spin/1 cast) and use them for snap-jigging on my deep water wreck fishing charters. When paired with a reliable 4000-series class spinning reel like the Penn Battle or Okuma Azores, or an Avet SXJ lever drag, spooled with 15-to-20 lb braid line, using 2-to-4 oz jigs near bottom structure in 100-to-200 feet of water produces non-stop action with a variety of groundfish. These rods are reliable, bullet-proof and have taken triple-headers of seabass from 185-feet down with zero problems. They are strong, sensitive and extremely affordable, with no vices. My only wish is that the conventional rods be equipped with a trigger grip reel seat, but that's not a deal breaker. The casting rod can be used with 12-oz of lead without going to mush. Get one!
Pros
  • Lightweight; sensitive; strong; affordable; durable, with great action for snap-jigging or casting.
Cons
  • With the casting version had a trigger grip reel seat.

Great Rod for the money
August 2, 2021
This is a great rod for the money. We have two kids that we take fishing on a regular basis and have great luck with these rods. Not going to be as nice as a custom rod or some of the higher end products that are out there but good quality and very durable. Great price point
Pros
  • -Price
  • -Quality
Cons
  • -Limited choice of lengths
  • -Not as sensitive as higher end rods

I have four of these rods now for light tackle jigging mostly for fluke and seabass they are worth every penny!!! Sensitive, strong, and at a price point that anyone can afford. Used them for 2 seasons now and they're holding strong we'll see about their longevity, but for a rod under $100 you can't beat it. Get one you won't be disappointed.
Pros
  • Sensitive, strong, price tag
Cons
  • I don't have 10 more!

Great rod
December 30, 2019
This is one of my light tackle rods that I use for rockfish. It's been a great rod and I am shocked that it's less than $100 for the way it's performed. I've got it paired up with a Stradic 2500 and 10# powerpro braid. It's a great combination.
Pros
  • Price and performance
Cons
  • none

What size reel should I pair with this 6’6 model
1 Answer
A 2500 class reel would pair nicely with the Tsunami Sapphire XT Pro Rod 6'6". If you want to make it an extra-light setup, you could go with a 2000 or 1500.

Will a Shimano tranx 200 fit on the 6ft9 medium casting?
1 Answer
The Shimano Tranx 200 and the Tsunami Sapphire XT Pro 6'9" casting rod would fit well together. Though you must be careful with how heavy your braid is. The reel can handle much heavier braid than the rod can.
