Tsunami Platinum Surface Blaster Lures are made from high-impact plastic. They are thru-wired to withstand the strongest fish. Featuring a wide, cupped face that throws a lot of water when popped, making a lot of commotion attracting fish. These poppers dig in very well, and don't have the tendency to roll out. The 6.5" is ideal for inshore/big game. They are also ideal for stripers and bluefish species. The smaller size is more of an inshore specific size.

these plugs make a big splash. i find that it works best if you pop it and the pause. when you pull the rod quickly the nose of the plug digs and throws a substantial amount of water. hooks are pretty good out of the box.
the eyes are stickers?!! mine peeled off on one of the 2 i own. thats kind of lame for an otherwise good plug

Powerful and Effective Lure

I recently retired and now I have time to do what I always wonted. I never fished for Striper Bass in my life before and started to watch videos. Being a professional videographer for more the 30 years I decided to learn about catching this particular fish and I ran into seeing these lures being used. Top water is the most exciting way and these lures tremendously and consistently producing this excitement.

This popper is working wonders for us on California Yellowtail, both sizes but for some reason they seem to like the smaller one even better, great casting distance and awesome balance, stays on the surface perfect without getting fouled up on your line...need a few more!

- great balance, great action and best of all very very durable! we brake and crack a lot of poppers trying to pull fish away from the rocks on heavy drags, not this one!
