All of these lures are tank tested to assure proper performance and strike triggering action. Precise weight balancing designs in all models ensure a tumble free casting performance. The holographic effect gives the impression of a 3-dimensional "glimmering" resembling a real sand eel.

Quality soft plastic eel imitation
January 25, 2022
There are a lot of sand eels where I fish. Sometimes it seems impossible to catch them on anything but an eel imitation. This eel is durable, casks OK for a plastic and catches fish day or night. I always have one of these in my bag.
Pros
  • Casts pretty well
  • Durable
  • No rigging required

Soft plastic 1st choice

Great lure. I don't like playing around with soft plastics, and this makes it easier. Tie it on and throw it.

A must throw when bass are on sand eels in the surf. Use as a teaser and it catches at a good rate. Casts decent for its size

A must have for open beach sand eel runs
November 22, 2021
Day or night I carry several of these, usually from 6" - 8" and occasionally the 9" if I am fishing rough conditions. I find I have luck with them even when sand eels are not around. During nights where the spearing are very thick, these do the trick. A great alternative to other options like bucktails and non-weighted soft plastics.
Pros
  • Affordable and easy to find. They catch fish.
Cons
  • They only last a dozen or so fish before they can be torn to shreds. A single bluefish hit can easily destroy them. A great option for bass on sand eel runs, but hide them when the toothy yellow-eyed devils are about.

I really like these. They look very real, they catch fish and hold up to toothy bluefish better than my hogy's.

Do the different lengths contain different amounts of lead? Someone else asked how much they weigh and soneone said 1/4 oz. but I’ve held them and they are way heavier than that, so can someone give me an accurate weight and tell me if the different lengths have different weights?
1 Answer
6" models are unweighted 7", 8" and 9" models are weighted. The manufacture doesn't list a exact weight.

How would I rig one of these (7"-8")? Fish Finder Rig or should I just rig them as is and cast and retrieve? I usually fish off a pier around Ocean City, NJ. I have a Dolphin Tica 9' with a 4000 series reel or I can use or my usual 6'6"-7.0 rods with 3500 series reel. Thank you.
1 Answer
The Tsunami Holographic Sand Eel Lure 7" and 8" Models are preweighted. You can rig this one of 2 ways. 1) Tie your mainline to a barrel swivel then attach your leader and tie to your lure or connect via swivel or T.A. clip. 2) Tie your main line straight to your leader connection for some added stealth and attach via knot or Tactical Angler Clip. https://www.tackledirect.com/tactical-anglers-power-clips.html. You then can cast up current and retrieve the lure straight back to you. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
