Tsunami Carbon Shield II Boat Conventional Rods are designed with ALPS Guides. Premium Hypolon grips for maximum comfort. Made with feather light IM7 graphite blanks with D16 nanotech and unique carbon fiber design. D16 Nanotech blank technology consists of multi-directional layers of IM7 carbon fiber that have been injected with nano resin and wrapped in 8 different angles which evenly disperse flexural force in 16 directions. This combination provides an extremely lightweight blank that resists twist and adds hoop strength. These rods make casting to, hooking, and fighting big fish as easy as it gets. Great choice whether you are jigging Tuna in the Northeast or battling Grouper down South.

Stryker
from NJ asked:

Do you think this Rod would be ok for light trolling mid/near/inshore NJ. Paired with a Speed Master 20 or Tyronos 20
1 Answer
Hi Stryker, The Tsunami Carbon Shield II Boat Conventional rods can be used for light inshore trolling. Pairing it with a speedmaster or tyronos 20 might make it a bit bulky unless its with the heaviest model. We recommend going with the 16 to pair well with all models. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with!

I have 2 Avet ex30/2 spooled with 65lb braid for summertime inshore bluefin fishing off NJ coast. I love the light spinning versions of this rod. Would the Heavy model work well for what I plan to use it for?
1 Answer
Hi Vinny, I would recommend the Tsunami TSCSHDBSII701H-B Carbon Shield II Boat Spinning Rod. https://www.tackledirect.com/tsunami-tscshdbsii701h-b-carbon-shield-ii-boat-spinning-rod.html This rod would be ideal for tuna fishing and other offshore fishing applications. Dorrell
from New Jersey asked:
July 30, 2021
Would the heavy or extra heavy hold 3lbs sinker for tile fishing?
1 Answer
Dorrell,

If you were going to use either of these, we would recommend the XH. Still may be a little undermatched for 3lbs of lead in all honesty however.
