best rod brand out there for the price

They are literally manufactured around the corner from where i live ( less than 5 miles) in Mahwah NJ and are truly fantastic. I would recommend this company to anyone, plain and simple. This is my current pole from bottom fishing to Mahi Mahi and even smaller sharks. I even caught a 300+lb shark on my tsunami reel rated for 40 lb and my tsunami pole rated for 80-100 pound line in a chum slick 10 ft from the boat and wrenched him in. My father went out and bought a $300 custom rod years back for it's lightness and sensitivity, but when i handed him my rod to hold so i could get a sandwich, he he wouldn't give it back and went out and bought one of these. The thing is so sensitive you can literally feel the types of ocean floor terrain you are on, and distinguish bites from that, and also it is light as a feather.

- Well worth the money. Very sensitive. Light as a feather. Strong poles. Very good looking.
Cons
- Absolutely none. Best rod i have ever used, and i have used a lot!

Great all around boat spinning rod

We use this rod a lot casting plugs and popper to yellowtail and dorado, also for light jigging and it is hard to find a better rod for the money.

- none so far, had it for a couple of years and has outlasted rods that cost twice as much

Put Cabo PTSd 60's on both with 50lb Tuf Line briad, have been out to the Monster Ledge twice and have laded a few nice sized Bluefin, targeting Mahi next weekend. Feel like they can handle at least an 80-90Lb brute

Over the past week I've used this rod to fish stripers and porgies. And was strong enough to pull a stripper yet still sensitive to feel porgies.

I use this rod to catch spot and then turn around and use the same rod to live line them to catch stripper. Its also light enough to jig but strong enough to do some chunking as well. I also like the butt on the rod, fits well in my rod holders.

I wouldn't have stumbled upon the Tsunami rods if I didn't call TD directly and talk to them about my needs. They were very knowledgeable and quickly told me this rod would suit my needs, and that they were having a sale on them.

Great reef spinning rod.Light and powerful it can handle both soft plastic & hard bodied lures very well.coral trout,mangrove jack and barramundi are some of the species to test out this great rod.

A good quality reel in the 4000-5000 size would be great on that rod. Take a look at these; Penn Battle II, Penn Spinfisher V, Shimano Spheros SW, Shimano Sustain FJ.

Is that clothe piece supposed to stay on the bottom of rod or is it supposed to come off exposing the bottom blue of rod?

It is the butt cap to cover the metal gimble of the rod. If you need to use the gimble and a fighting belt, take off the cover. If you are not using a fighting belt, leave the cap on.
