Designed for light tackle applications all along the coast, the Tsunami Airwave Elite Light Surf Spinning Rods are perfectly suited for land based anglers fishing from sod banks, jetties, beaches, and more. These super light and comfortable to fish surf rods provide excellent performance with lighter line and lure techniques commonly used in backwater environments. Anglers will find them perfect for things like jigging for fluke with bucktails and soft plastics, fishing smaller topwaters for schoolie stripers, and plenty of other techniques for mid-sized inshore species like speckled trout, redfish, snook and more down south. The Airwave Elite Light series is built on high-fiber graphite blanks with impressive fighting power despite their light weight and limber actions. The high-pressure production methods increase blank density, making them ultra-sensitive for picking up on lighter bites. All models are equipped with Fuji K Series SiC Ring Guides for smooth long distance casting and ideal line management. Shrink vinyl grips and genuine Fuji graphite and stainless steel reel seats keep these rods light in the hand for comfortable all-day casting out at your favorite secret spot.

Why 70/30 as opposed to 50/50?
1 Answer
Hi Austin, The Tsunami Airwave Elite Light Surf Spinning Rods uses a 70/30 rod split for this series. This allows the angler to have the feeling of a 1 Piece rod but also have the ability of taking the rod apart into 2 pieces. This also allows the angler to easily put the together the rod in minutes without worrying about aligning the rod guides and only focusing on aligning the bottom guide with the reel seat. This is a very popular rod split and is preferred by most anglers these days. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
