Small tell that can handle about anything !!!! Love it !!

I went to Florida to fish for Groupers and took my Seigler Reels Small SG Smoke/Silver right hand and was pulling them out like if they were Porgys or Sheesphead. Groupers from 15" to 31"It has monster gears makes it easy to crank big bottom fish

I read all the reviews for this Seigler Reel. Most were positive, however, there were some that indicated a potential problem with the drag system. First of all the reel came with a very excellent bag. And the finish of the reel was impeccable to say the least, however it arrived with absolutely no paperwork at all. The problem with the reel started immediately. In free spool I could feel drag And the drag lever was frozen and refused to move. This Seigler was to be used for a charter fishing trip around Panama City Florida. Which involved spending a considerable amount of time and money. I had to feel confidence in the reel. Therefore the reel was returned to TackleDirect and I requested a store credit for the returned item. As this is being written I am in Panama City North. I brought my other (high end) reels and they are all working perfectly! Like always this was a very positive experience with TackleDiect. They are great people to do business with! Will order again in the very near future!

This reel is built like tank.

I stop by a fairly decent sized tackle store on long island to keep up with new products and get a feel for them when visiting a friend for holidays. While fumbling around with these reels I immediately liked the way almost all of them felt in the hand and the smoothness. The only thing I didn't like about this brand was the surf casting model because of the no crossbar at the top, but they told me it casts a mile. Could not overcome the feeling that i had seen these reels before even though i didn't recognize the name, and said that to the guy behind the counter. He responded to me that they used to be named truth reels, and release reels before that and a light bulb went off. A guy we used to fish with a few years back used to bring his truth reel out and cast a really good distance, and these are basically the same just rebranded, just more powerful.

Snapper fishing and even top water fishing, I had mine 2 months now and I love it. I was looking at at other brands like avet and accurate both sold reels but I thought I give this company a shoot boy was i surprises my boss bx2 have nothing on this reel. And it's about $200 cheaper i looking forward to 2 more set up with these reel in the near furniture. Get one you will not be disappointed.
