How many degrees on my rod holder would i need to fit this ... and how do i know which to get the 9.1/2 or 12 inches

This is designed for a precision fit into most common standard size flush mounted 30 degree rod holders. The top plate of the Gimbal Mount has a universal mounting pattern designed to fit all Troll-Master, Penn, and Cannon mounting plates. As far as length goes you will need to know how long your in-gunnel or transom mounted rod holder is to choose the correct size.
