normally i'm not a fan of swivels- less hardware less issues is how i think- however these really do the job- designing a set up that i need multi lines and no tangles- and others tend to tangle the lines- but thankfully these don't- i give it 2 fishing rods up :)

Well made swivel that is perfect for surf fishing using bait. It doesn’t tangle which is big plus.

These are the best 3-way swivels I’ve ever used. A bit more expensive, but worth it. I’ve never had one fail, or rust while fishing the salt.

Why the differance between recomended line strength and swivel strength, e.g. 55lb swivel with 20 lb line?

Usually you want your line connection swivels to handle more than the lb test you are using. These weights are what the manufacturer recommends when using their swivels for best performance.
