The Temple Reef Gravitate 2.0 Slow Pitch Jigging Rod is comprised of the same two-piece butt joint design as the Levitate for easy travel, but the Gravitate 2.0 has a slightly softer, slightly more parabolic bend. The Gravitate 2.0 comes with Fuji Alconite guides, a Fuji reel seat, and is coated with a chameleon color.

Design Flaw

While this rod is very light with good backbone it has in my opinion a design flaw. The foam grip below the reel seat is several inches too short. Whether you hold the rod by the trigger or palm the reel your hand has to partially hold the blank instead of all foam. Very uncomfortable when jigging for several hours. I have similar rods from other manufacturers that got it right. Disappointed for the $$$

Great Choice!

I'm relatively new to sliw pitch jigging. I bought an Ocea Jigger 2001 and wanted a good match for it. After much research and deliberation I pulled the trigger on the Templ Reef. An extremely good choice. Beautiful desired action, enough backbone to properly fight the fish ( with the reel) and al and all a perfect balance for the reel.
I'm hooked on Temple Reef rods and will be looking to get another one for another set-up in the near future.
Pros
  • Action, balance, construction.
Cons
  • None found as of yet.

Beautiful rod

Packaging excellent as always. Rod is beautiful. Looking forward to using it more. Have had it out 1 time and performed as it should. Seems that it works better with jigs on the heavier side of the spectrum to get the action it should on lift. Doesn’t really load that well with 150g.
