The rod is perfect for both trolling for walleye and for drifting for steelhead ad browns. It's sensitive enough to hold and bottom bounce and has a nice parabolic action that's perfect for trolling.
Pros
  • Sensitive, great action, light
Cons
  • Haven't noticed any

I'm considering this rod for light surf, jettie fishing when I make it to the beach. Mostly bluefish, ladyfish, mackeral, specks, Jack's, whatever is swimming the trough. I'm throwing jerkbaits, sppoons and light bucktails/irons. I'm thinking of pairing with a stradic ci4+ 4000. Thoughts on that as a setup?

While the stradic ci4+ are great reels you may want to go to slightly larger size like a 5000. The Stradic Fk will pair very well with the 9 foot.
