Outstanding value

After sending back a higher cost rod that broke on the fourth cast. I purchased a 10’ 5 weight bvk for float tubing and indicator fishing. It has performed perfectly. The extra foot has really improved roll casting and mending at distance. The fit and finish is as good and better than rods costing twice as much. The casting performance is outstanding with good balance between stiffness and dampening for such a long rod.

Bought this for my wife who is novice in Saltwater. She tried some faster rods (4 times this price) but preferred the BVK as it is somewhat slower and easier for her to cast. Also good value as a backup rod.
Pros
  • Well priced. Excellent wty. Easy casting for a novice.
Cons
  • Slightly heavier than the name brands and not as fast.
