Temple Fork Outfitters Esox Series Fly Rods are designed to handle the bushy, air resistant flies needed to chase big fish. After the successful launch of the TFO's Mangrove Series fly rods, they expanded the line to include this 300-400 and 400-500 grain family of musky fly rods.

TFO Advisory Staff member, and prolific fly tyer, Blane Chocklett was integral in the design of the ''Esox'' rod, bringing forth a wealth of knowledge from years of chasing toothy, carnivorous fish.

The ''Esox'' series is built with the hardcore angler in mind, utilizing TFO's proprietary TiCr blank coating to protect the rod from the occasional collision with a weighted fly or gunnel. These rods won't pop out or break like traditional ceramic guides because they are topped with TFO's proprietary Tactical Guides. The unique chestnut colored, non-glare, blank features an extended, IGFA compliant fighting butt and a modified full-wells grip. The exaggerated fighting butt of the Esox Series Fly Rods aides the angler in picking up and casting heavy lines and large flies, and is also beneficial when attempting to elicit a strike near the boat in the alluring ''figure-eight'' motion. The rod is finished out by cleverly machined hook keeps on each side of the aluminum up-locking reel seat.
