Temple Fork Outfitters Gary Loomis Tactical Series Bass Rods utilize a proprietary scrim in conjunction with TFO's high modulus carbon fiber blank material to save weight and increase sensitivity without sacrificing strength. GTS Bass blanks are tastefully finished; simply polished, with a thin layer of matte clear coat to enhance the natural luster of the fibers, TFO's trademark Color ID Split grip is further complemented by a two-piece reel seat and a natural cork ring split grip.

GTS rods are topped with TFO's proprietary Tactical Series guides; machined stainless steel inserts are super-hard chrome anodized then swaged into a chromium-impregnated stainless frame. What does this all mean? Super hard, super slick, saltwater safe and no more lost fishing time due to lost inserts...and they're 30% lighter than standard SiC guides.

This rod was recommended to me by a fellow club tournament member that I fish with and it preforms excellently. It is the first one of two that bought and I am very satisfied!

I love these TFO rods
October 4, 2018
I'm an equipment freak with everything, not just fishing. I know that if I'm not using the best equipment, then I'm just wasting my time. These TFO tactical series are the best rods I've come across. I've tried more expensive rods that still pale in comparison to this series. The first good fish you fight on one of these and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. I've also tried other series of the TFO line, and they are good, but this tactical series is that one step above - truly a 10 out of 10 situation.
Pros
  • There is something special about the handle and the way your reel attaches that turns two pieces of equipment into one solid piece. The feel is amazing, and the snap on your cast makes for consistent distance control with your casting.
Cons
  • I don't see any

My review headline says it all. This rod feels like it was made for me.

It's so great I gave 2 away to friends for Christmas.

It's certain sure that Gary Loomis knows how to build great rods - NOW he's built a beaut at a killer price.

Check it out!
Pros
  • Feels like it was made for YOUR hands.
