A very well respected surface jig is the Tady 45. There really aren't too many fish that won't eat a 45 when cast from the hands of an experienced fisherman.
The Tady #45 Lure with siwash hook is easy to fish and provides great action in the water. Perfect for vertical jigging. This lure is made of light metal alloys. This lure will run 6 to 8 inches sub surface, delivering an erratic side to side swim. Also known as "Surface iron", this lure is most deadly when used on surfaces feeding fish. Mixing it up with Tady

These jigs I ordered are replacements for the Tady lures I originally had ,my new go to metal to mix things up. The scramble egg color was killer in the back wash, just letting it wobble in the under tow was the ticket. The big bluefish actually hit the lure sticking out of the stripers mouth, which is the reason for the re-order. I will be adding wire from now on, when blues are around.
Pros
- A solid lure with welded ring, super strong siwash or treble hooks (your choice) and can take a serious beating. This lure is built to last !
Cons
- Will lose the Tady wobble if reeled to quickly .
