Kaitryn, Thank you for your reply. I understand that, my worry is the holders coming loose from the poly rail they are attached to in rough seas. I don't want the holders pulling out and the rod & reels landing on my head while running in choppy seas. 2 Internationals is a lot of weight hanging from the poly strip.

TACO's rod and reel hanger is built very solid. If the installation is done with the proper hardware it should be very solid.You just need to see if two Penn International 50VSW will fit side by side. Aside from the Internationals fitting well in the hangers next to one another, you will not have to worry about the reels falling out of place. Thank you for your concerns.

Can these racks safely hold Penn International 50VSW trolling rods and reels?

Yes. The closed end is where the reel goes which is where the weight is. The open end is where the rod goes which holds very little weight.
