Great travel rod combo

Took this on a trip to USVI. Did a little fishing, i wasn't targeting anything large. Just throwing lures and spoons. Hooked a 30" barracuda with it, the drag was put to the test and I can say for a low end Shimano it did the job. The reel internals are good and the 2 piece rod had plenty of power.

Does the reel come in original box or is it clam shell package?

can you change the sedona for another reel?

The TackleDirect Silver Hook / Shimano Sedona combo only comes with those listed items for that special price.  There are many other TackleDirect combos listed on the website at https://www.tackledirect.com/tackledirect-saltwater-fishing-combos.html.  You can also always select the TD Sliver Hook rod TDSS702MH and choose a reel 3000-5000 size from any manufacturer and create your own combo.  Cost would be based on price of rod and price of reel, no special pricing like the ones on the TD combos page.  Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

How does it hold up in salt water.

This combo is a saltwater combo. It holds up well, like any saltwater reel after a day of fishing in saltwater you're going to want to rinse this one off with freshwater at the end of the day and allow it to dry.
