They do what they are supposed to, remove hooks, cuts line and makes swivel easier to put on. Only time will tell for how long they will last. They seem like they should last awhile as long as you spray them down at the end of your salt water fishing trips.

After a few uses the pliers started miss aligning making it hard to grip hooks buried in the mouth of the fish. The cutters started failing shortly after using as well. They are not very sharp and difficult to cut braid or thin mono. I will not be buying again.

Braid cutter falls out easily

I bought a set. On both of them, after a few uses, I saw that the braid cutters had fallen off. I have no idea when. Knocking off two stars.

I bought another set and I will be keeping a close eye on the bolts holding the cutters.

Great Pliers

I goofed up and a fat angry Halibut pulled my friend's pliers into the ocean so I bought him these and he was happy. He gave me the bigger ones and so far they are really nice. They're great line cutters and they come with a holster that's pretty cool. 2 for $50 pretty good. I've used these for about 1-2 months and am very satisfied with my purchase.

  • -Comes with cord to connect pliers to belt loop, but I took it off.

  • -Would've preferred a different color like black or gray, but the blue is cooler than I thought. =]

These pliers are holding up great so far. Haven't had them long, but they show no signs of corrosion so far. I use them for saltwater fishing. The inexpensive stainless steel pliers seem to start rusting after the first trip. The line cutter is a great feature to have when rigging. No need to have a second tool. Works great on braid.

Great Pliers

I am a tournament Bass and Inshore fisherman . I Love chasing big Stripers in shallow water. This set of pliers is perfect for both aspects. The smaller pair are comfortable for tourney fishing and the larger pair seem to handle everything I throw at them. The cutters work great on all types of line as well.Highly recommend them.
