Hello,

Can you suggest a surf set up for fishing these lures?  8', 9' or 10'? 10# braid, 20# braid? 4000, 5000 or 5500 size reel?  Thank you.

1 Answer
A good, all-around setup would be a 9' rod and a 5000-5500 size reel matched with 20-30# braid.

What would be a good surf set up for fishing these lures?
1 Answer
I would recommend a 9'-10' Medium or Medium heavy action rod paired with a Shimano Saragosa 6000, Penn Slammer, Daiwa BG and Shimano Stradic are very popluar for this fishing application as well

I would recommend looking at the Tsunami Trophy II rods for a more budget friendly set up.

Typically we would recommend at least a 5000 size reel for surf applications just for the drag and line capacity.

Depending on the class of fish you typically experience and the area you are fishing, i would recommend starting with 20# or 30# braid,
