Good strong mono

We use this with some of our bigger trolling reels in 60# and use the 50# as leader attached to 60# to 100# braid. We've had no issues or problems with it.

My all time favorite line. Strong, low memory. Great choice for all types of reels
Pros
  • Lower memory than other lines. Doesn't seem to weaken when stretched by a larg fish.

Exellent Mono
March 4, 2019
I will start by saying that I am definitely a braid man. Some piers on the NC coast though will not allow you to run braid on your King fishing rod. So after reading other reviews I decided to try Sufix Superior and feel it was a great choice. Line and knot strength are amazing for a mono line and it very low to no stretch.
Pros
  • Great quality line.

Great for Trolling
May 28, 2018
I use 50 and 80 lb Sufix Superior for my offshore trolling setups for tuna, dolphin and white marlin. Hi-Vis yellow is very useful for setting up the spread and it has just enough stretch to handle the initial strike. I am very pleased with the quality and performance of Sufix Superior mono line.

Line performance
March 16, 2016
Generally good line.I only use Suffix nylon for some of my reels.Have been using it now for Ten Years.
Generally a very strong line.Pretty good.
Pros
  • Good knot strength, good abrasive properties, last about six months of heavy use before having to change it.Takes hard drag settings with hard strikes. The line can be very reliable in full drag situations.
Cons
  • Not as good quality as before,Was a much more consistent line when made in the USA.Ive noticed since it's being made in China now,a few sections when spooling reels to have machine damage.Ive had to throw away two to four hundred yards several times from different spoolsAdr because of machine damage in the middle of the spool of line.Had to reespool a whole reel.
  • Please have this line made in the USA again.
