very happy since I started running this over power pro I had a few bad spools a while back gave this a shot on a friends advice. I have the 30 # on my seigler reels, Ive caught some sharks well over 60 pounds on it. smooth, looses its color fairly quickly which I do not mind really.
Pros
  • thin, strong, reasonable priced

Very very good braid! The braid is super smooth and crazy strong, like all
braid it's sensitive too abrasion so allways fish a top shot of mono or flouro.
Shots trough your guides lie ka rocket because it's so thin yet it's so strong!
a bit expensive but you pay for the quality!

Love it

This is the best braid on the market.
I have used a lot of diffrent braids and none has performed as well.
The line is super smooth and has a thin diameter which makes it cast really well.
Even with the thin diameter the line holds up too any type of fishing!
I would recomend buying big spools being a top of the line braid does make it expensive
so buying big will hodl hte price down.

Been using suffix for years. Always worked better then power pro and spider wire. Got this 50lb to spool two of my surf casting reels with.
Pros
  • Great line...possibly the best you can buy.
Cons
  • Expensive...but so is anything that's great

Need your help. We are going to be doing some surf fishing in May and will be using Bait Casters - TranX 500 - using Suffix Braid 832, 40 lb. My question is - for a shock line which is best - Mono or Fluorocarbon? How long should the line be? We'll be using poppers and possibly spoons. Also will be using Spinning Reels with Suffix 832, 30 lb. - with poppers or spoons. How long should the leader be? All surf rods are 12’. Also, are Mono and Fluorocarbon leaders good for both salt and fresh water or would you need one line for fresh and another for salt water? Thanks.

As far as a "shock leader" goes monofilament will be more suitable than fluorocarbon because it has a high amount of stretch and fluorocarbon has little to none. While mono will act as a better shock absorber, it is not as invisible in the water as fluorocarbon is. If you think the fish are being finicky and a visible mono leader is affecting the way they bite, fluoro is the way to go. If you are fighting big powerful fish that can easily break the line with head shakes, I'd suggest mono. Both are good for both salt and freshwater. Leaders are generally no longer than 3 to 4 feet for surf fishing with artificial lures.
