I love this jacket! I've used in the the spring and fall when the weather was frigid! Spring squid fishing in Cape Cod can get very cold at night and fall fishing for Tautog in RI in the morning is freezing! I've used this along with my stryker bib with only a thermal pants and fleece sweater underneath in cold temperature fishing and it's kept me warm and dry. If you plan on fishing in foul weather, this is a no brainer! Very comfortable and keeps you warm. 2 thumbs up for Stormr for making great products

If you're looking for a comfortable warm jacket, this is it. I fished with this all fall into the winter with a just a long sleeve shirt underneath. Everything about this jacket is quality and worth every penny. If it's just cold and rainy out going to work, I put on this jacket and smile.

So I've tried substituting gore-tex shells and other jacket types for surf fishing but they are not designed for saltwater and or the harsh conditions surf fishing throws a a jacket. I've been wearing this jacket more frequently after owning it for two months as the weather begins to cool. I like a jacket that you wear and the first time out you realize it has a feature specifically where you want it. I haven't owned this jacket very long so we'll see about the long term durability but so far i love it. I wetsuit fish with it as it gives me additional warm when standing out of the water and exposed where just a wetsuit will get cold. If you want more stamina and less energy lost to heat lost this jacket will serve you well.
Pros
- Combination of zip pockets and velcro. Cinch drawcords at the base of the jacket and head. Also and this one is sweet, the velcro strap at the top of the hood adjusts how far the hood falls forward. This is sweet for keeping a good field of view. 100% wind and rain blockage.
Cons
- Mobility is not the same as a gore-tex shell but you get used to it (also it's worth the mobility loss if it means you stay warm). The arm gaskets are nice but if you get submerged water tends to trap there and you have to manually drain it, no biggie.

I ordered this jacket based on what I had read about it and due to the fact that their gloves are incredible. Just received jacket and although it has yet to see the elements I am impressed with the construction, quality materials, weight and its maneuverability. Can't wait to test this jacket out.

Purchased this jacket for my husband and he is quite impressed with the quality and details of this product. He wore it out in the snow storm and he kept dry and very warm. He will be wearing this jacket alot on all his cold spring fishing trips.

A friend of mine suggested I try out this jacket. She fishes in all weather but I am a birder who also bird watches in all weather. I wanted something that was going to keep me warm in dry in cold winter months and in the cold wind and rain. Well I put this jacket to the test on an all day outing in the cold rain. It worked great! It is very comfortable I love all the extra pockets, it holds up great against wind and rain! I HIGHLY recommend this jacket to anyone who likes to play outside in bad or cold weather!

- the zippered pockets on the outside are a tad small, I couldn't fit my phone in them easily.

Many of the reviews claim that it runs true to size. The Stormr size chart for the Stryker jacket specifically is as follows :

The Stryker is warmer, has more pockets, has heavier material around the lower portion of the jacket, and is cut differently. If you are comparing it to the older Typhoon, the Stryker also has neoprene gaskets in the sleeves as well as adjustable sleeves.

The new jackets fit is a little closer to normal sizing. We did build some extra room in them for layering. If the person around 6ft or taller they should stick with their normal size. If they are looking for a tighter fit and they aren't 6ft or taller they should go down a size.
