Each Star Handcrafted Rod starts with a unique custom blank, with many featuring new Duratech Technology. Duratech blanks, are made by combining multidirectional graphite with a special epoxy. The result is a rod with greatly increased sensitivity, lifting power and toughness. It also increases durability when a rod is jammed or overbent in any direction. The graphite to epoxy ratio is individually selected for each handcrafted rod to insure the perfect action, weight, strength and maximum durability.

can you put a reel on it ?

The Star Handcrafted Kite rod can be used with any larger spool conventional or electric reel.  Most use a Daiwa Tanacom Electric 500 or 750 reel, with the 750 the more popular, for their kite as it can be retrieved by hitting a button instead of reeling it back in manually.  Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
