I fish a drop shot year around and probably more then a few hundred hours a year. . One of the things I found with traditional hooks is after a few fish the line can take a lot of damage from the knot going through the eye a few times. That problem is componded if you are throwing braid with a flouro leader. This hook fixes that issue. I am not real excited about the shape of the actual hook as being a round bend versus the wide gap. Also this hook is rather large. The size 1 is bigger then any 1/0 drop shot hook I own. If I buy this again I will buy it in a size 2 or 4. The advantage this hook has is the way you can put your bait on. I was running my the bait down the shank to hide some of the hook and it worked well.
