Casting models are equipped Fuji SK2 reel seats along with a Fuji KDPS reel seat nut with a thread covering hood. Rounding out the design is a set of split-grip handles fashioned from high quality cork for a comfortable grip and classic appearance. All Victory Bass Rods are handcrafted in Park Falls, Wisconsin to ensure they meet the standard of quality that anglers have to come to expect from St. Croix Rods.

Meets the St. Croix Standard
August 1, 2022
I'm very impressed with this line of rods. I own the "Full Contact" model (7'4 HF) and it's a great stick with which to throw frogs, topwaters, and punch rigs. On a recent outing I botched the landing of nice Larry while working a Chatterbait with my 7' MHF St. Croix Premier, and it cost me dearly. While trying to boat flip the 3 lb. hog, I snapped 12 in. off the tip of my rod and lost the fish while doing so. A certified goofball move to say the least. My day was salvaged when I was able make a reel swap and re-outfitted my 7'4 HF Victory to throw bladed jigs and swim jigs, my personal bread and butter. I was pleased to find out that this twig is not only a great topwater tool, but also very capable of throwing the aforementioned baits. The backbone of this rod allowed me to drive those heavy-wire hooks clean through the lips of numerous fish, and sold me on its quality in the process. If you're looking for a great American-made piece that will catch you fish, the search ends here.

Bought two Victory Rods - Love one but really not happy with the other
June 19, 2022
So I like the action and how the VTS73MXF spinning rod loads up when setting the hook. Overall a nice rod and one I will use. it's very light and a lot of fun use.

I also purchased the VTC72MHF (The Marshal) Casting Rod. I'm really not happy with the way the rod loads up when setting the hook and I've missed more fish than I have on any other Rod. Without exception, on every fishing trip during the past couple months I put the rod back in my boats rod locker early on and went with another rod. In fact, any other Medium/Heavy Fast action rod that I own (5 of them) loads up better and catches more fish than the Marshal. I love St. Croix rods but this rod does not live up to expectations.

Great Rod
March 4, 2022
I put a Daiwa tatula 150 reel on this rod and it's great for deeper cranking, chatterbaits and will bomb cast larger top water lures too. The action is great for baits with treble hooks but powerful enough to set a single hook. Great rod that can do multiple things.
Pros
  • Great quality/warranty
Cons
  • None

Great Rods for a great price
February 5, 2022
In the last months i bought 6 of these Victory-Rods (VTC72MHMF, 2x VTC73MHF, VTC74HF, VTC710XHM & VTC710HF). They are all very clean build rods with a very high sensitivity and they are incredible lightweight.

I would say "Best value Award“. ;-)
Pros
  • Light
  • Clean build
  • High sensitivity
  • Best value
Cons
  • Nothing

Great Rod
December 23, 2021
Bought for myself for Christmas and haven't got to use it yet. I did unbox it and was shocked at how lite it is. I've used a buddy of mines before but he had a heavy reel. I pared with the Daiwa Tatula Elite and can't wait to use it. I have the Victory Max Tactical Spinning and if this rod performs anything like that one I will be happy for years to come.

I haven't used the VTC74HF for all the applications that I think I might, but so far its been a fantastic pitchin rod!!! I used a 7' MH for years and never thought I'd want a longer or stiffer rod, but what a pleasant surprise! The 74HF balances great (not tip heavy) and pitching is actually easier with the longer rod. It has a soft enough tip that it doesn't feel like a pool cue, but hookset power is great. I'm a St.Croix guy and have Legend Tournaments and Extremes, but IMO the Victory series is the sweet spot in the St. Croix line-up. I love my VTS610MLXF dropshot rod too!!
Pros
  • Great balance, power and sensitivity!!!
Cons
  • None really, but I wish they used Alconite guides

Am Amazing Value
October 29, 2021
I own two of these rods now, a dropshot and “The Jerk”. I use the jerk as a spinnerbait rod and it excels at that. These rods are light, sensitive, very comfortable to fish, and the fit and finish is excellent. The only thing I don’t like is the silly naming. Come on St Croix, just tell us the specs or name it for the specific technique it’s designed for. The cute names don’t help. They just muddy the waters and they’re annoying. Bad naming aside, these rods are legit and I highly recommend them……..if you can find one.
Pros
  • - Light
  • - Powerful
  • - Sensitive
  • - Comfortable
  • - Well built
  • - Fish beyond their price range
Cons
  • - The naming scheme is annoying.

So nice I bought twice!!!
September 16, 2021
Seriously, I received it in the mail, unsheathed it and ordered another. I have four mojo bass and mojo inshore rods and I like them a lot, but these Victory rods are on a whole new level! They just feel so good in your hand. They cast great! The EVA on the reel seat and fore handle is amazing! I bought this to throw hollow bodies and other similar lures into heavy pad cover.
Pros
  • Fit and feel in hand
  • Cast-ability
  • Material used
  • Sensitivity
Cons
  • So nice I bought it twice

Phenomenal Rods
July 25, 2021
This is an absolutely phenomenal rod. I don’t know exactly what grade of graphite and carbon St Croix mixed together to create this rod but they absolutely nailed it. I bought the 7’1” MH fast and it’s the best chatter bait rod I have ever used. So far I have caught a bass weighing 8.8 pounds and even had to drag him out of hydrilla and this rod handled it great. I also caught one over 10 but didn’t have a scale on me so no telling how big it was and this rod didn’t bat an eye. The future of St Croix is extremely bright with this new technology. I just recently saw the new Victory line at Icast and it is incredible.
Pros
  • Sensitive
  • Comfortable to fish
  • Nice tip and good backbone
  • No micro guides
Cons
  • Not one single thing
