How stiff are these models?
1 Answer
Hi Luke, The St. Croix Triumph Musky Rods are made using Premium Quality SCII Carbon in the blank. This allows for a light, powerful, and stiff rod in order to cast large baits for Musky. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.

How would this rod pair with an avet 6/3 lx for salt water fishing?
1 Answer
It will depend on the style of fishing or application your using the combo for. I would advise using the combo for lighter saltwater fishing applications.

Would an Avet sxj 5.3 be a good match? Throwing bucktails and bulldawgs
1 Answer
I would only recommend the SXJ or any other conventional reel if you are strictly going to be trolling. If your approach will be more casting and retrieval I would suggest a larger sized baitcasting reel like the Shimano Tranx or Abu Garcia Revo Beast.
