Great rod! The weight of this heavy rod felt super light in my hand. It was stiff but I was able to feel every bite. I used for rockfishing here in California coast outside the bay area. I paired it with a avet sxj. Fished 200ft down and had no problem bringing up rockfish and a 16 oz weight.

Model: MSWC76HMF - I was looking for a quality boat rod to pair with my Tranx 500HG and this rod matches up well at a decent price point. I have only tried to test cast it at a local reservoir with a 4.5oz lure into a strong wind and distance was excellent. It has the strong backbone for offshore species and enough tip sensitivity for jigging inshore. A friend bought this model and the MSWC76MHMF to test them for casting with the Tranx and found the HMF to be a better all around match. Looking forward to some offshore hookups with this rod. Great warranty too!

I started with an inshore mojo and fell in love with these rods. Only rods I’m buying from now on. I paired this rod with a spinfisher vi 6500LL and love it ! Using mostly for Bottom fishing mutton’s and grouper. I definitely recommend St. Croix rods !!!

These rods are incredible. They’re lightweight and extremely powerful, I would gladly pay double the price. I also own the Mojo inshore and will say the salt series has a much faster action compared to the inshore. I’m a big fish guy and these rods can handle it. Highly recommended.

What is the lure weight rating on this rod? Also would the Avet SXJ be a good matchup for this rod? Targeting fluke, seabass, striped bass, blues.

The sxj would pair well with the mojo salt however St.Croix does not list a lure rating.
