Excellent rod and great online company

This rod is sweet! I own a few extremes, so I expected it to be. Mainly it’s a jerkbait rod for me, but it serves a lot of purposes in my boat. Tackle direct is also Dependable, honest, and transparent. I will certainly do business with them again.
Pros
  • Light
  • Sensitive
  • Attractive
Cons
  • St. Croix no longer includes a $10 rod glove on a $440 rod?

Fantastic Rod
July 27, 2013
purchased this rod about a month ago. Have trolled and casted with it on 10 outings. Very well built and sensitive. I can feel and identify everything my lure fits, weeds rocks and logs. I've caught small fish right up to 10 pound muskies with this rod and I can feel them all strike my lure. Highly recommend this rod. I like it enough that I just ordered the LXC610MXF.
Pros
  • light rod, very sensitive that I feel everything from stricture and being able to identify the structure to feel small fish strike.
Cons
  • non so far

Near Perfect Rod

I love this rod, it's very high tech. It's very sensitive and when I'm holding the rod it feels very nice. I could cast with this rod all day long. I put a Shimano Calais DC reel on this rod and they are a match made in heaven. If only it had a Hook Keeper, this would be the perfect Rod, but I won't let that stop me, I'm going to buy the spinning rod version next, same spec's as the casting rod.
Pros
  • The feel of the handle, not to big and not to small
Cons
  • No Hook Keeper
