St. Croix's redesigned top-of-the-line Legend Elite freshwater casting and spinning rods target anglers who appreciate the very latest in advanced rod engineering and technology, classic cosmetics and a traditional look.

Built on high-modulus/high-strain SCV graphite blanks with carbon-matte scrim the Legend Elites feature super high-modulus SCVI graphite in the lower section for incredible power and feather-light weight. Rolled on mandrels engineered with St. Croix's proprietary Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) tooling technology, the Legend Elites have continuous-curve tapers for casting smoothness so sublime that you'll think you're dreaming. Each blank is strengthened with Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART) to dramatically increase hoop strength and stand up to violent hook-sets and the biggest fish.

Thank you for your answer but I was not asking for the lure size, I will use it for fishing the flats, so light lures are fine. My question was, are they made for fresh water in mind or with durable components against salt water use?

They are designed for freshwater but shouldn't have any issues in a salt environment. There are saltwater legends and avid inshore rods that would work well for the flats as well.
