Top quality & lightweight

An excellent rod by st croix.
Although it's a freshwater rod, st croix states that it can be used in saltwater as well without problems (just make sure you clean it up after each use).
I own the inshore avid series, which is a very good rod as well, but when i got this rod i felt immediately the difference in quality.

Expensive but worth it, the best part about this rod is the warranty (15 years and transferable) can't beat that.

This is my favorite rod I own. I have a VR50 on this and it’s a perfect match. I liked the rod so much I bough a second one to have as a backup. Tackle direct ships fast, they have a great selection, with fair pricing.

Spectacular Rod for Trout

This is a terrific rod and I have an St Croix Avid model of the same length and flex that I love. The finish on this rod is exemplary. This Elite rod is lighter than the Avid and the special lined guides add another 10-15 feet for casts to reach the ones hiding. I paired this rod with KastKing FluoroKote 6 lb test and its stealth mission is to catch me larger rainbow trout. Proud to report my new favorite is delivering the goods. A spectacular rod for trout.

This is easily the best rod I own. I have it paired with a Stradic CI4+. It’s very lightweight and the craftsmanship is second to none. Highly recommend it!

Super lite and well balance. Cast really good and very sensitive. The new torzite guides are EXTREMELY small.
