SPRO Chrome Bucktail Jigs are unlike any other jigs on the market. Their unique head shape and eyelet placement help bring these lures to life. With blazing color, a holographic finish, and bulging eyes, they put fish at your mercy. These baits won't hang straight down or fall like other bucktails. It glides through the water, almost swimming along. In fact, the body stays almost parallel to the bottom when jigged, maintaining a very natural appearance. Chrome Bucktail Jigs are made with super sharp, durable Gamakatsu hooks. It's hard to fish the Chrome Bucktail wrong, it can be jigged off the bottom, cast at schooling fish, or swam along in freshwater.

Tried these after watching a guy slay bocaccio with them. Double dropper loop set up 6 ft long 60 lb leader w a 12 oz torpedo at the bottom. 2 of the 3/4 - 1 oz gold chrome bucktails (maybe add a squid head to the hook or just a strip & youre in business). For lings out there - westin crazy daisy swimbaits. Yoire welcome.

I fish these for perch, spot, rockfish and the occasional catfish off my dock and around our jetty. The hooks are strong and the color doesn't fade or chip.

Great lure
April 13, 2020
I've use the gold 1/2 oz bucktail for fishing with the kids and friends at night off our dock and fish light. I've probably caught 50 or more small to med (6' to 23") rockfish with this bucktail. Unfortunately about 1/2 of the of horsehair has been pulled from the lure over the past 2 years. Not bad for $4!
Pros
  • very tough, good strong hook

Classic jig with some shine
March 25, 2020
This is a great classic buck tail, but the extra shimmer makes it even better especially for those toothy critters
Pros
  • Great colors
Cons
  • Color flacks off if working on a rocky bottom or something like that.
