I took these on two different fishing trips while fishing in Mexico and the held up great in the surf, but beware you'll be dragging seaweed with it when you reel in back in!

This was the best price I found for this type of sputnik sinker. I like this much better than the ones with the beads.

Took this on a surf fishing trip to Holly Beach La. for a week. Even on those rougher than usual days where south winds picked up 12-16kts, this sinker kept the line where it landed!

This is my second purchase. First purchase was great, product sent was as pictured, uk hooks, long wire, weighed in at 4.17 oz for 4 oz sputnik with sleeve wire holder.

Second purchase not as good, not as pictured, not uk hooks, short wire, 3.75-3.79 oz for 4 oz sputnik and sticky little wire holders.

Only reason I paid this price was because I thought I was getting uk hooks sputnik like my first purchase. Won't buy again.

these hold better per ounce than a pyramid in the Florida sand from shore. They are also more aerodynamic so I don't get as much helicoptering when I cast out (less tangles on the leader or on the high low rigs). I do find the need to snug up the wires to get proper release, but this is easy enough with my needle nose.

Worked well in the surf for lighter baits. Arms help hold the sandy bottom. Overall quality is very good.

But also pokes everything in your gear bag. Awkward to transport

The only thing I use in the surf anymore. Holds better than any other design and pulls free easily enough when fish hit or pulling your line in.
