The SpoolTek Pro Series 6in Fatty has a short, thick, baitfish profile designed to emulate pilchards, croakers, pinfish, finger mullet, herring, threadfin shad, gizzard shad, bunker and others. The 6in Fatty lure has a vertical, jig-like fall pattern, which often entices strikes as it descends. On the retrieve, the Pro Series 6in Fatty tracks straight with only a slight body wobble and tight tail wiggle. The eyelet position enables maximum action on slashing and erratic jig presentations. The lure's most unique feature is the internal spool containing a 12” 80lb steel leader that will separate from the lure when a fish strikes. This allows anglers to use lighter leaders attached to the eyelet of the lure, thus enhancing the action while preventing breakoffs due to the internal leader. It is also important to note that the hooked up fish will be unable to use the weight of the lure for leverage to throw the hook. The SpoolTek Fatty is an extremely versatile lure and is highly effective using a variety of techniques.

  • Length: 6”
  • Weight: 1.75 oz.

  • For Fresh and Salt Water

Snook love this lure. The steel cable really helps to reduce getting cut off. This is an awesome lure and an incredibly clever and very functional design. This is one of the best lures made and I highly recommend it.

This lure has a great action and will catch any fish if sees the chance. The hidden leader is a super smart idea and really helps your hook up ratio. The only thing about this lure is that it a bit pricey
Pros
  • Great action
Cons
  • Very costly

November 5, 2015
I simply get more strikes with these lures than any other. Knowing that I have a hidden steel leader that deploys is a plus.

How does this come through semi-thick weeds & grass? Esreciallyfor Okeechobee and other Fla. grass lakes. Seems like a lot of hang ups with the exposed hook.
1 Answer
I would recommend avoid places with very thick weeds and grass. The hook can pretty easily get hung up in thick cover.
