GREAT VALUE

I wear a size 9 and purchased the size 10. Perfect fit with the wader stockings and also the wool socks for winter.
Very comfortable and the best part is the warranty. If you have a problem Simms will take excellent care of you.

Solid boots

I wear 10.5/11 street shoes and ordered a size 12 Simms boot. I'm glad that I did so. They fit comfortably over my stocking foot chest waders. The last pair of Korkers boots I owned were a size 11 and my feet felt cramped when I wore my stocking foot chest waders.

Great Solid Saltwater Boots
October 22, 2021
I purchased a size 9 as recommended by the size chart and as I use them mainly for wet wading in the summer months I needed to use them with a pair of neoprene socks - the neoprene socks are a nice snug fit and they keep out the sand and small stones.
I did purchase some Simms Hardbite studs but unfortunately the center of the sole seems to be softer than the outer sections and the studs didn't get a good grip into the rubber, they just ripped out the rubber and wouldn't stay in there much. I replaced the center ones with studs with an auger style thread and they held firm.
Overall excellent boots for saltwater.
Pros
  • Great support around the ankles and firm traction on our reefs even without studs.
Cons
  • No real'meat' in the center area of the sole to hold Simms' own brand of Hardbite studs.
