Use these all the time when fishing. Working out great. Pick you up a share.
Pros
  • Everything and yes they keep the water out.
Cons
  • None. Wide sizes would be great.

Solid and Light!

Bought these for salt water fishing since BOA lacing doesn’t work with salt water. Going to use them on flats soon but have been using them for 2months on rocky areas in San Francisco. Just watch out for seaweed is it’s pretty slippery. They have held up great on oyster beds, barnacles, and mussels just fine. Really solid footbed with the updated insole. Heel locks in no chaffing and as no nrewkong in is required. Still pretty stiff and light. For sizing I typically wear a size 8 tennis shoe and got a 10.5 to work with a Simms guard sock. These should be good to jump in and out of flats boats as well and won’t streak the deck of the skiffs with sole marks.
Pros
  • Light, stiff, durable

Comfortable and lightweight

These flats boots are significantly lighter than my previous flats footwear which makes for a less tiring day wading the flats. I’ve found them to be comfortable to wear and am pleased with the purchase

Versitile Wet Wading Shoe

Not heavy, not bulky. Wears like an athletic shoe versus a boot. Great for in and out of a flats boat all day. Equally as good for a short to moderate hikes to a river or lake shore. Break in well after a few wears around the house and yard. I'm a 10.5/11 in most shoes. Went with a 12 and it is perfect for a liner sock plus 2.5mm neoprene sock or just a wool sock for wet wading.

You get what you pay for

Hard to go wrong with Simms. I fish mostly inshore from a kayak. Super comfortable in and out of the kayak. Can fish in them all day. I have wide feet and didn’t feel the forefoot pinch. Easy to clean up. Another bonus for inshore fishing is the high top design... you don’t lose your shoe when stepping into soft bottom.
Pros
  • Great Simms quality, comfort.
Cons
  • They?re expensive, but you know that going in and you get what you pay for.
