The Shoals Rigged Bronze Dart is designed for fishing Tuna/Swordfish/Shark. This bronze dart is cast in New England. It fits a 3/8 pike or shaft which is non tapered the dart was designed by Tuna Harpooners/fisherman here in New England. It is stamped with made in USA. The dart is much different than the ones made offshore in Asi, as this dart is heavier and made of a better Bronze. The rigging and splicing is done in New England. This rigged dart has a spliced line approx 30 inches with a loop on one end and a spliced loop connecting it to the line. The braid line has a break strength of 4,000 lbs, the loop to loop connection allows a quick change of darts on the boat. The line is AmSteel-Blue/White and is a torque-free 12-strand single braid that yields the maximum in strength-to-weight ratio and, size for size, is the same strength as steel-yet it floats. AmSteel-Blue outlasts wire 3:1, making it an excellent wire rope replacement. It has extremely low stretch and superior flex fatigue and wear resistance. Samthane coating enhances that already high abrasion and cut resistance.
