While I have yet to use these, they are built well, they feel good in your hand, and have a good weight to them. I lightly dressed the edge to sharpen the front a hair, then threaded in some rope to use as a guide line with a float. Again the casting lines are good, no corrosion on them (green or similar) and have lived on the boat since. I'm awaiting the day these get to go through a tuna!!
