This harpoon is a 2 piece throwing or cockpit harpoon which is 96 inches long and includes the pike which is another 12 inches (approx ) it has great throwing balance and is easy to use. The weight in the head of the harpoon is removable. It can be used on Tuna, Swordfish or Sharks. This harpoon is made of aircraft grade 6061 T aluminium. It is one inch diameter and is sand blasted/hard coated with a special marine powder coat. It is fitted with machined marine bronze fittings and fitted with a 316 stainless steel shank. It has a special sealing system which allowed for no pins or rivets in the construction of the harpoon. The line holder for the harpoon keeps the dart on the shank without the use of tape. This Harpoon was made and designed with extreme attention to detail and quality by New England anglers and harpooners who have a passion for Tuna fishing.

Harpoon has some weight to it, not overly heavy, but it's not built out of thin wall conduit either. Threads together nicely, stainless tip has no rust yet (I keep it on the boat year around) and have no doubt when I go to stab my first Tuna, it's gonna do what it needs to do and not let me down.
