3 position sheath, holds 3 pliers, stainless clip on$10.99 USD
Keep your fishing tools at your side with Shimano tool sheaths. The full-grain leather sheath holds the Blue Water pliers and can be easily attached to a belt. The clip on nylon sheath has a leather-backed stainless steel clip for use with or without a belt. It can hold all pliers and crimping tools.

Looks good and works well. Leather and utility got together and had a baby! Good job Shimano!
Pros
  • Leather, utilitarian
Cons
  • Some of the components may not last forever.

Convenient and Good Quality

Nicely made sheath for your fishing pliers. Not mentioned in the product description is the lanyard loop sewn onto the front of the sheath to prevent loss of your pliers. There is also a separate slot for a small pair of line scissors. Convenient belt clip eliminates the need to thread your belt through a belt loop.

Note the shallow depth of the sheath. This sheath works great for heavy-duty pliers, but you may find that thin needle-nose pliers fit a bit more loosely than you might prefer.
Pros
  • Inexpensive and well made.
Cons
  • Holds heavy-duty pliers securely, but thinner pliers may be a bit loose.

Well-made sheath

I purchased some of these to hold various pliers and other tools. They are of course useful for attaching to your belt or waistband, to keep tools easily-accessible while fishing. But they're also nice as a way to keep the sharp/pointed ends of tools from poking through fabric in your tackle bag.
Pros
  • Durable construction, stainless steel clip, convenient to use, fit a variety of tools (not just Shimano brand and not just pliers)
Cons
  • None

The rivets on the stainless clip rusted out and the clip broke off. The sheath itself is in great shape. Tough to read the word "stainless" on the clip because of the rust. Who can I contact to get a replacement? I do not have my receipt any longer. This is the second Shimano sheath I have had. The first one lasted almost 10 years. This one did not make it 2 years, even with slightly less use.
