Built to meet the demands of the world's most skilled tournament-winning captains, the Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt Roller Stripper Conventional Rods are the ultimate rod for offshore trolling. Built on Shimano's most advanced blanks to date, the Terez BW rods benefit from three proprietary Shimano blank technologies — Hi-Power X, Spiral X, and UD Glass construction. Spiral X construction consists of multiple layers of carbon tape that tightly wind the blank diagonally in opposite directions, resulting in enhanced torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. UD Glass greatly enhances rod strength while retaining the ability to flex. This combination of rod technologies increases the structural rigidity of the rods so that they remain true under load while enabling anglers to efficiently transfer power through the blank for much needed fighting power in heavy offshore applications. The Terez BW Roller Stripper Rods feature the best components in the business, including durable Fuji SiC Guides and a Winthrop roller stripper and tip to help withstand extreme drag pressures from pelagic heavyweights like tuna, wahoo, marlin and more. These rods are sold as blade-only, allowing anglers to pair them with whatever straight, bent, or adjustable uni-butt best suits their application.

looking to get a new set of trolling rods and reels.  I am going with 4 tiagra 50's a2d 2 tiagra 80's.  I need to figure out the rods which are much harder for me to choose.  I am done going with custom rods I have just had bad luck.  I have been trying to do research on the new Terez BW series.  Most of my fishing is wahoo trolling in North carolina ( some high speed trolling but mostly troll at 7kts)  I also do some yellowfin trolling and some bluefin live baiting.  What Terez rod would you recommend that would not be to heavy and feel nice?  also what Rod but fit these rods.  I was looking at the winthrop adjustable rod butts

Hi Thomas, I would recommend the Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt High Speed Trolling Rods for your Tiagra 50's. Specifically model: TZBWHS57HA; TD Code: SHM-4500. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tzbwhs57ha-terez-bw-uni-butt-high-speed-trolling-rod.html This rod would be great to pair with your Tiagra 50's for High Speed trolling for wahoo, and tuna. I also recommend the Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt Full Roller Conventional Rods for your Tiagra 80's. Specifically model: TZBW83XHFRUBA; TD Code: SHM-4486. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tzbw83xhfruba-terez-bw-uni-butt-full-roller-conventional-rod.html This rod would pair nicely with your Tiagra 80's for bluefin tuna. I also would recommend using Winthrop Tackle Terminator Adjusta-Butts for these rods. Specifically Model: WT2L-B; TD Code: WTH-0002-1. https://www.tackledirect.com/winthrop-tackle-wt2l-b-terminator-adjusta-butt.html This size would be pefect for your Tiagra 50 rods. AWinthrop Tackle WT4S-B Terminator Adjusta-Butt - #4 Short - Black would go with your Tiagra 80's. Model: WT4S-B; TD Code: WTH-0003-1. https://www.tackledirect.com/winthrop-tackle-wt4s-b-terminator-adjusta-butt.html These rod butt options give you the ability to fight the fish stand-up or using a harness or gunnel. This also helps keep the weight of the setup down. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
