Shimano Triton Lever Drag Reel:

If you own a small fishing boat, or you often find yourself elbow-to-elbow with your angling compatriots on the large party boats, you need a reel that's both nimble and versatile. The Shimano TLD reels are light in hand, so easy to shift they're almost mindless, and they're adaptable to any number of bluewater species from tuna to striped marlin. And because they're built by Shimano, durability is an inevitable part of the package. A large, private, ocean-going vessel may be neat, but it's not necessary. Just match the tackle to the situation. And let the fish fall where they may.

An $8.00 oversize packaging charge applies to this item as it ships in a long heavy duty tube to protect your items. This fee will still apply when discount shipping coupons are used.

Could this setup be used for kingfish?
1 Answer
Hi Roas, The Shimano TLD-25 Triton Lever Drag Reel / Ande ASU-601A-SBMH Stand Up Rod Trolling Combo would be a little light for Kingfish. Instead I would recommend a Shimano Torium TOR30HGA / TackleDirect Platinum Hook TDPS702050SIN King Mackerel Combo. https://www.tackledirect.com/tackledirect-platinum-hook-tdps702050sin-shimano-tor30hga-combo.html This rod has the ideal action and soft tip needed for Kingfish trolling and would be perfect for your application. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.

Can this reel be spooled with wire line or would you recommend a different combo?
1 Answer
Hi Craig, The Shimano TLD-25 Triton Lever Drag Reel / Ande ASU-601A-SBMH Stand Up Rod Trolling Combo is not recommended for use with wire line. I would recommend the Tsunami Trophy TSTBC-661HW / Penn 113H2SP Special Senator Wire Line Casting Combo. Model: TSTBC 661HW / 113H2SP; TD Code: TSU-0113. https://www.tackledirect.com/tsunami-trophy-tstbc-661hw-penn-113h2sp-senator-reel-wire-line-casting-combo.html. This combo is recommended for wire line and would be great for trolling bunker spoons for striped bass. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.
