The Shimano Terez Stand-up Curve Butt Rods are durable made with TC4 blank construction. They come equipped with custom grip and reel seat, and Aftco wind-on. They are carbon curve rods. The TC4 technology allows for these rods to be lightweight yet strong.

Overall the rod is lightweight with an awesome blank. I use the rod extensively for trolling. Shimano needs to sell the carbon fiber straight butt as a standalone item.

Can you but this rod with not bent but piece or straight but .. I dont want either because I have a collapsible butt that does both to go on it

Hi Eric, Unfortunately the Shimano Terez Stand-Up Curve Butt Rods sell with the bent butt attached. I would recommend the Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt Roller Stripper Conventional Rods. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-terez-bw-uni-butt-roller-stripper-conventional-rods.html These can have adjustable rod butts attached to the rod. Is the only difference between this and the Tallus model the fact that the Tereza has all roller guides?

Both rods are constructed from the same TC4 blank and yes, the Tallus only has a roller in the tip. The Terez also has a custom built grip and reel seat, and an Aftco wind on. Â

Is the rod pictured here the Candy Red or White? If I am running 100 lb braid is it recommended to get the H or XH rod?
