Engineered to perform in the most demanding of circumstances, the Shimano Terez BW Uni-Butt Full Roller Conventional Rods are equipped to dominate the heaviest trolling applications. Built on Shimano's most advanced blanks to date, the Terez BW rods benefit from three proprietary Shimano blank technologies — Hi-Power X, Spiral X, and UD Glass construction. Spiral X construction consists of multiple layers of carbon tape that tightly wind the blank diagonally in opposite directions, resulting in enhanced torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. UD Glass greatly enhances rod strength while retaining the ability to flex. This combination of rod technologies increases the structural rigidity of the rods so that they remain true under load while enabling anglers to efficiently transfer power through the blank for much needed fighting power in heavy offshore applications. Equipped with a full set of Winthrop roller guides and tip, the Terez BW Full Roller Rods are ready to take on some of the most powerful game fish in the sea, including the mighty Bluefin Tuna. Would this pair well with the Tiagra 130A. Looking to get a heavy set up to live line for bluefin tuna. Would you suggest the xxheavy? I have a few Penn 50s for trolling. This would be for the heaviest setup.

Hi Michael, The Shimano Tiagra 130A will pair well with the Terez BW in XXH. As a disclaimer, these rods do not come with the butt with your order. The rod in the XX Heavy will require a #6 butt which we unfortunately do not have available as of now. Please feel free to contact our customer service center for further assistance or questions!

I have a Carbon Fiber Bent Butt from XH Terez stand up rod.
Will that butt work with this Rod? Its a #2 Uni size so I assume it does
Also wondering is there a release date yet??

The #2 butt will work on models TZBW78MHFRUBA and TZBW78HFRUBA of the Shimano Terez BW Uni-butt conventional rod. The other models will be a #4 and a #6 from what Shimano told us. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
