Shimano Teramar West Coast Inshore Casting Rods Feature Details
  • Shimano TC4 Construction
Shimano has engineered the new responsive TC4 Construction to elevate your fishing experience. The TC4 Construction wraps a double inner layer of advanced, dynamic T Glass with an inner and outer spiral of high modulus graphite. This breakthrough in design construction results in an extremely durable, crisp, yet lightweight rod.
  • Fuji Concept Lightweight Alconite Guides
A very strong and durable material, Alconite is the latest in a long line of ceramic rings developed by Fuji. Alconite is so durable it can be made thinner than any other ring, so strong it will hold up to all kinds of fishing demands. Alconite has an 80% greater compression strength and is 20% lighter than aluminum oxide, making it one of the toughest rings used for fishing, as well as one of the lightest.
  • Fuji Exposed Blank Reel Seat
The Teramar series features the Fuji Exposed Blank reel seat on selected casting models. This lighter reel seat has a blank exposed area where your finger is in direct contact with the blank which allows for maximum sensitivity and stability. This reel seat has a 7.9 degree offset, which reduces fatigue and adds comfort when palming a reel.

Awesome live bait rod
August 2, 2017
Awesome rod for west coast style live bait fishing. Caught numerous yellowtail this last summer with this rod, and it did not disappoint. Paired it with an Avet SX Raptor and 50lb braid and 30lb fluorocarbon topshot.

Would this be a good tog rod up to 8 ounces?
1 Answer
This rod would definitely work for togging, although it may be a little bit stiff, but if using heavy weights such as 8oz this rod will hold up to the task. I would recommend looking into a Trevala PX rod
